Hey guys,

A question for you... do you know any monitor stands that can hold this following setup?:

Left 19", center 27", right 19" and top (above center monitor) 24"?...

Thanks,
Chrazey

Neptune Triple Monitor Stand

Nice one dude! :D Thanks for the tip!

I do really like the base stand, much more than my old XFX triple monitor stand.

Question though, is it possible to have a 4th monitor on top of the center one on that stand?.

Ahh cool, thanks for the help...

Anyone know if there are any stands which this one shows, in the upper right corner?... 1 center and 2 monitors on top?:

Lastly, anyone know if there are any stands which you can have 2 on top of eachother?, which the top one having a bit of an extended arm to be able to rotate it down 45 degrees towards you?.

Thanks.

Just something to bear in mind with monitor stands, if all your monitors are different weights they often don't balance very well. Of course some stands cope better than others.

Especially when you start considering 27" screens. The weight imbalance would annoy me.

Thanks for the tips guys... but do you think it will even if just one, the bottom, is 27" and the top is 22"?...

Distributed vertically should be fine.
When monitors are placed either side of the center of mass, it becomes more important that they are the same weight.

I've had stands in the past that have barely balanced with three identical monitors. You really need a beefy stand (at the bottom) with very solid arms.

Basically I wouldn't go for the cheapest option, look for reviews, and consider weight distribution relative to the center of mass of the stand.

Okay, cool... well I used to and still have it, but don't use it, the XFX Triple Monitor Stand, with 3 x 24" monitors. And it was a real bitch to set up correctly and all, with the monitors straight etc. Sorry for the language, but just had to, cause it literally was.

Now I'm more after 2 monitors as 3 is too much for me and not enough space on my desk for it.
Just came up with the idea of having the 22" on top, rather than on the side...

Here is an Aussie site that has some different monitor stand configs if you see one you like then see if you can find it at your retailer/e-tailer

Cheers dude... although I don't get why every dual stand, with the brackets on top of each other and not side by side, both are the same?... why can't one have the top bracket have a little arm to tilt the monitor slightly down, towards you?... probably because of weight distribution as you guys mentioned.

You could just get a single monitor arm and measure the height to see if it would clear your bottom monitor on it's stand.

Eg.

Sorry, but I'm not really following... how do you mean exactly by measure the height of it to see if it would clear my bottom monitor on it's stand?.

Rather than have a monitor stand for 2 monitors, simply leave your bottom monitor as is and buy a tall single arm to place the monitor above.

Ohh... quite nice idea there mate ;) ... Gotta give you that, although, not sure how good looking that would be :p

Nice one though SPS! :)

Really?

if the swivel arm with a monitor mounted can only be raised to 60cm in height, its not going to clear to the centre screen isit?

Like dude that common sense!

This is just an example, i have no idea what the dimensions are on anything you're using

Not following you on that one either mate...

So is not driving while you've been drinking, yet people do it.

Well to be honest, I think it might even look cleaner as you don't need a stand with a hefty base on it. You'd probably also have a lot more control over aligning the top monitor correctly.

True that, makes sense mate.

Managed to find this image which shows EXACTLY how I want it, only that the bottom monitor is 27" and the top is 22". So exactly like this image, with top tilting and all, just different size monitors on it:
