Hi,

I have the monitor AOC i2353PH plugged through HDMI port. I set the monitor to go in sleep mode after a certain time but when I come back and press on any key or move the mouse it does not wake up and I had to switch off and on again !! why is that ?

thanks

sounds like a wake issue I always set my monitor to shut off never. If I need it off I simply turn it off saves issues.

thanks for replay

yes but many times I leave my PC open temporary.

Check the hdcp status in your driver prefs and see what it says.

It's a little known fact that you can get drivers for monitors too. O o

I currently have the VG278H... this is my second one. The first one I got would have that exact issue. But one time instead of getting mad and powering off my PC, I walked away for a couple minutes and when I came back it was on. Turned out that it took exactly 2 minutes to come out of standby.

I had to RMA the monitor for other reasons but my new one doesn't have that issue at all. Perhaps its the monitor?

Thanks alot for every one to take the time to replay to me:

Yes it is very possible but warranty in my place is sucks I cant RMA unless it really has strong permanent visible problem !! see this post too: http://forum.overclock3d.net/index....sia-and-goes-off-then-pc-never-respond-again/

I installed the driver yes but I am not sure what tool I can use to get hdcp status

Might be crashing after an hour or so, remove any OCs and reclock it till the issue returns, then go back to your last working clock.

Maybe I set sleep mode to never and I will see whats wrong
