Modularized PSUs?

Can somebody recommend me a good 600/700watts PSU - I am looking for one that is Modularized. The only one I can think of is Cooler Master. Any others other than that - Anyone?

Can I ask why youre looking for a modular PSU? By the wattage range youre looking at i'm assuming youre a fan of performance, which if is case you should know that some people rule out modular PSUs due to the resistance and instability the additional connections can cause. Some PSUs have done very well in tests despite this though.

If this isnt of any concern however, there is the Enermax Infiniti 720w or the Corsair HX620 620w or the Seasonic M12 600w or the OCZ EvoStream 600w or the Enermax Liberty 620w

I swear people forget this is a review site

Its not for me, but for somebody else, only doing their homework since Im going to get paid or else I wouldn't have bothered.

I only went for Modular route because it keeps the rig nice and tidy

I'd vote for either the Infiniti or the HX620. The Cooler Masters are also really good - I'm using an 800w in my rig at the moment.

I've got a Corsair HX520 and the thing is absolutley silent, the back gets a little warm over time but only about 30*C judging from touch, that's with minimal load though. Good thing about the Corsair ones is that even the lower wattage ones (although I wouldn't want to try it with mine lol) are SLi certified, if you're into that, and the stock connectors are really sleek, the 24pin, 8pin and server 12V are all sleeved in black, all the connectors are black and the actual modular cables are all black rubberised affairs. If you want discrete and reliable, the Corsair would get the thumbs up from me.

Get the Corsair. I have the 520HX in two systems, I will never buy a PSU other than Corsair. They dominate. Most likely, the 620 will do it for you, maybe even the 520 version. I run the system in my profile, overclocked with the 520 and I've never heard the fans spin up.

What are the systems specs?

Personally I'd go for the HX. I haven tested the other Corsair model yet so I cant comment on that one really.

When did Corsair come out with the TX, and what's the difference?

:(

OK, his specs are:

CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600

MoBo: Asus (ROG Board)(Not sure of the model)

HD: 1x 80GB SATA (For OS)

2x 320GB SATA

GPU: BFG 8800GTS 512MB

Ram: 4GB Geil PC2 8500

BTW he will most probably OC the system.

I'm thinking a 520HX would do fine with that system, but if it's fine with him, then definitely go for the 620HX.

=]

The old corsair units are mint but the new ones aren't so good.

500ish watt of quality psu is enough for that system... I always liked that enermax 720w, if he gets that then he won't need a new psu any time soon.

TBH, PCP&C are the shizz ;)

I also run the 520HX its a rock solid PSU.. no problems with it at all..

Can i ask whats wrong with the new Corsair PSU's?

Everybody helped.

Before posting this thread was going to buy any rusty old PSU (obviously modularized)

BTW the PSU is here

Picked a good one :)

After reading through this though, I should point out... try to list a budget with your psu.

Because some of the quality ones I would have ruled out, since you chose a coolermaster as your first purchase, even though they may have been the right choice because of him wanting to overclock

Not to be rude, but if you read the thread, I have already chosen the Corsair 620HX.

Im not really a fan of those cables because its flat. I was expecting it to be rounded.

Anyways that don't really bother me.
