Morning all

i just wanted to ask your views on modding/customising unseen parts on a build.

im planning on painting the psu case on my build but a few friends seem to think its pointless because no one will ever see it, but ill know its there and not the right colour etc.

really just wanted to know if its something others do or if you think its a waste time?

Waste of time and your warranty. Never mod anything out of sight, it's just pointless warranty voiding.

IMO.

If the PSU is on show then I get it, if its not then I kind of agree with ALX above.

Its YOUR rig though and you should do what ever makes you happy

It is a waste of time.

Only unseen modding that is worth it, are those that will improve QoL, or other aspects of a system for the greater good. e.g. Cable routing, wire hubbing, watercool loops, SSD mounting etc.

If its purely cosmetic, then there is no point at all.
