Fair enough, I didn't realize they had broken NDA at first to be honest I just jumped strait to the charts and didn't bother reading the introduction.

NDA is a funny thing though, today is the end of NDA, but because of the different timezones we have to wait until a specific time. Personally, I think NDA should be up on the day it's up and not a set time, really a few hours between countries isn't going to change anything, but NDA is NDA I suppose. 
 
Surely the corporate might which is nVidia shall be able to get some highly paid lawyers to rip Tweaktown, or at least the author of that review, to shreds?

He seems, quite frankly, like an arse.

that's why I mentioned the official vid is freely available without posting a link just in case.
 
So what time does nvidia lift the NDA's? really want too loads of reviews and benchmarks. Once a coutnry passes midnight, the NDA should be lifted for that country

the stats look good but not so good on the few newer games they've tested, looking forward to see Tom's review cover more of the latest stuff and to see the cards potential for overclocking.

Have to say though the power consumptions not as good as i would of hoped but the price is a good start, hopefully they'll roll the whole line up out asap to force amd to set some realistic prices
 
I do not find TweakTown's actions strange at all. If a company like NVIDIA chooses not to respond to their emails, and chooses not to send them anything, not even an NDA contract, then to me it's quite understandable for them to release the review. I'd be pissed off aswell if a company blatantly ignored me.

I think NVIDIA slapped themselves in the face with this. TweakTown did not sign any NDA agreement, so legally, I don't think NVIDIA is in a position to do anything.
 
I dont think TT will get to much grief from nvidia as its hardly a bad review, its more unfair to all the over sites that have agreed to wait until the nda deadline passes

Very bizarre to me that on the one hand they get a plain reference card... and yet no communication..

... wish hardware turned up to me without any communication ! .. oh hold on ..

I'm almost tempted to say they had the card, some directions, and pushed for finer details than they needed.

Heck why release the review today - without NDA info, why not release the info as soon as you got the card on monday ?

All a bit screwy. And of course with all speculation, we'll be speculating about the truth regarding this episode. And once again, cos we don't know the details - it's the manufacturer's fault.

This is true, but you have to keep in mind that NVIDIA is not the only company that can get them a GTX680. I'm quite sure most manufacturers (like ASUS, MSI, Gigabyte, Zotac, etc.) would be able to supply you a plain reference card. If what they're saying it the truth, which of course we cannot know for sure, then it doesn't seem like they were pushing for finer details than they needed. Of course, if TweakTown were to publish the emails they sent NVIDIA it would clarify the situation a bit, but then they would create even more bad blood.

The simple fact that the card has no sticker on it "could" mean they obtained the card from... Gigabyte (for random example, not implying they have) - took the sticker(s) off to avoid complications and implications, contacted nVidia who simply thought "WTeF".

You email nVidia (who have no idea who you are) and get nothing back.. I bet they get 100s of emails daily from people they don't know asking about ndas, release dates and what size screen can I use on my GF 8400 GS ?. People they do know they obviously converse with. hehe you'd think.

lol could write a book with the iffs and butts.

they'll have a direct contact who'll manage that review sites account, all pr details, nda agrrements, sample hardware, what to review, how to review it etc etc, they dont just email support line asking for a new card to review lol

They have had a fall out with this rep at nvidia twaiwan, not sure under what circumstances but the nvidia guy doesnt want to deal with them anymore, it seems similar to the problem Tom had with his contact at NZXT which thankfully is now resolved and nzxt has dealt with the person in question
 
A GTX680 SLI review popped up on Guru3D for a few minutes, but got taken offline just after I started reading it so I was only able to read the intro ;p

That is a good idea. Dunno why we've (I atleast) haven't seen this sort of thing before.

Don't see anything stopping 2 people getting together for a xfire/sli pack. Save £10-20 is still a saving - plus one postage for those places who charge.
