mid plate, hose entry.

I have got an idea, for my 630 involving removing the drive bay cages, and mounting the front 240 rad up in their place. Thus leaving a bigger section at the bottom for a psu, cover. So my idea is to extend the cover across the whole bottom section, then hiding away the pump. But i'm not sure on how to have the hose go through the cover, and still being able to take out the cover without fully stripping down the pump end end of the loop.

I don't like the quick disconnects, they just look odd, plus you can't get them in matte black, only silver. So is there any thing else out there similar to this. I don't mind having to drain the loop to gain access if needed. I have thought about the Bitspower extra long fitting, I can't remember the name but it is advertised for pumps. it is a 2 part fitting with the center male section having 2 o rings. Or I could make it easier for my self and just have mid plate, rather than a whole box type thing.

Bitspower Black QDC

bitspower will have the QDC in black..

the fitting is called a bulkhead fitting. it allows two fittings to attach to the bulkhead
fitting and pass-through a plane.

a lot of people use a fill-port as the same way. usually a short connection.

personally, if you are a part-of-the-month club changer and have to swap a lot
of parts a lot of the time, QDC fittings are (to me) not a fashion statement to a rig
build. more a functional item, more so than a vanity concern. but some peeps like
to say quick-disconnect or QDC and got 'em... I do not care for them, adds bulk
and destroys tubing flow.. but that's me.

I agree with you there Mr Air, I don't care for them much either. Problem solved, I'm going to mark where the hose holes need to be, hopefully they will line up, and then cut through the box dead center of the holes. So it will be in two parts, or maybe 3 with the middle section containing the through ports. I'm going to make some sort of feature, out of it.

I have plenty of time, my gpu is being rma'd so whilst that is away, I can sort out the final, configuration of everything.
