Mid or Full Tower Case?

Looking about the £120-£150 mark for a case that will last me quite a lot of builds into the future. Been looking at cases like the Corsair 600T/650D for a mid tower and the NZXT Switch 810 regarding full tower but I'm not sure if a full tower is what I really need.

For now I plan on sticking with air cooling but when I decide to do away with the current MB+CPU I had been thinking about making a water cooled setup with a CPU and single GPU loop. However the reason for changing just now is that my current case was a mistake: top mounted PSU, really cramped and noisy and the temps are on the high side, plus I just don't like the look of it.

Looking for more suggestions, preferably with a window, potential for a 360 rad and good cable management.

I always think you should use the smallest case possible that accommodates your needs.
I think standard ATX motherboards look stupid in cases like the Switch 810 unless they have SLI and watercooling.
So I'd say get the 600T or 650D. You can fit a 240 and 200mm rad in a 600T which is enough for CPU and single GPU cooling.

Even in a case such as the CM 690II you can fit a 240 in the roof, and a 60mm thick 240 in the floor which is enough for CPU and GPU.

Was leaning towards the 650D for mid tower as the minimalist look is something I quite like. CM 690II, while a good should, I don't like due to the fan mounts on the side and experience tells me they let out a lot more noise than the windows.

Thanks for the quick replies

I have mine set up and it's next to silent with the window panel.

If you're gonna be doing a lot of building, upgrading, swapping and tinkering then get a full tower if you've got the room for it. Nothing better than having plenty of room to work and a full tower has plenty of room.

It's the first part of the mid-life refresh so the first part of it's life will see quite a few hardware changes, it's only first cause I feel the current one is too small. Worried a full tower would be too big but the space is there for it.

I`m kickin in the idea of the windowed version of the Fractal Design Define R4.
Case allows for 240 rads in the front or/and the roof. See YouTube for reviews and internal-options

Well, considering you're doing a lot of work in your case at first and use it for watercooling later, I'd go with the full tower as those are exactly the 2 things that they are made for.

Having done a check on the prices, switch 810 is going to win most likely, can get it cheaper than the two corsairs and it has the full towery goodness that should cover pretty much anything I plan to do in a computer for a long time.

Yep, Go for a full tower if your putting water in, But beware your kit may look slightly out of place with just air cooling in there.

Won't be doing any water cooling straight away, that will wait until a new motherboard. Expecting it to all look a bit dodgy at first, not able to cough up the cash for a full upgrade at this time.

EDIT: Changed mind, 650D it is.
