Microsoft stops OEM sales of Windows 7 Pro and Windows 8.1

Depending on what you do on your pc, this it's either brilliant or foolish.

Gaming is probably the biggest loser here, as most pc games (aaa titles anyway) require either a vm with Windows on it (so no benefit) or wine/variant (which don't support everything).

I'm not saying Linux doesn't have games, it's just a harsh reality that most dev studios don't develop their games with Linux in mind.

In fact, I'm not 100% sure that the gpu driver people do either.

It's all too true. A few years ago I was doing as much research as I could with the intention of moving over to Linux for gaming but in the end I decided to stick with Windows as getting the games I wanted to run running under Linux would be a colossal nightmare. The fact also remains that it hasn't become any easier since then.

Yeah it does have its limitations I can play my Arma and hearts of iron4 though so i am happy :)

I think if more and more people start to move towards linux then devs would would do more

Yep, This what has happen to Windows it's just getting dumb down for the dumbest people.

Ahhh i miss the glory days of Windows where to could customise everything but that was back when Bill was running the ship not this idiot they have now.

I remember back when you used to install Windows 98 & 2000 where you could pick what you wanted to install before Windows is even installed, ohhh no we can't have that these days, Microsoft has to design an OS for idiots maybe they shouldn't even own a computer in the first place yeah i went there.

Are you saying OSX/macOS is dumb?

Are you saying OSX/macOS is dumb?

I sure am that's fine i don't expect you to agree it's my opinion.

What i'm saying is that the OS has been getting dumb down with every new version, Like i said options aren't there anymore like there used to be back when Windows '98 & 2000 was around.

To date IMO Windows 2000 was the best damn OS Microsoft made.

You might want to reconsider the way you state your opinion because it does come across as being very ignorant/misinformed. I don't like OSX because the UI feels locked down would be a better way to say it.
