Physx? crikey, talk about flogging a dead horse![]()
 This isn't any old PhysX this is M&S PhysX
Least we know what to do with our 10 Series cards now, I'll get the 2080Ti for Ray Tracing and use my 1080Ti as a dedicated PhysX card (remember those days). It's the perfect solution for 60FPS 1080p at medium settings.
Pre-ordered, was really cheap in my Steam region, like only £30 or so.
This will be the new But Can it Run Crysis memes.
Gonna start seeing But Can it Run Exodus
It is time to appoint new Inquisitor. There hasn't been a proper game that made your graphic card beg for mercy, well, since Crysis series.![]()

You do realise almost half the games being released use PhysX?
It's the default physics engine for Unreal Engine 4 and Unity.
I didn't realise no, that is how many games have stated they are using it lately. You know? like made a point of it and shown the logo etc. I've not seen it for years !
Yeah that's because unlike many libraries PhysX doesn't require you to display the logo or mention it in any way. Games only display that crap when the legally have to.
Don't get me wrong I love Phsyx. When it is used properly it really does add to the game. Well, if you are picky and really notice fine detail. I guess it works better on a PC because you are up close and personal with the screen.
I think my fave use of it ever was in Mafia 2. You have to chase this guy up to the roof and catch/shoot him. There are a load of heating/AC units on the roof and everything is being warped by the heat. It's really amazing. That said it was bloody great in Mirror's Edge too. I like it when it is used to make a great game even better![]()
I assume you're referring to advance GPU acclerated PhysX features?
As PhysX is primarily a CPU physics engine.

Why? Surely they could create a better Physics model? Just seems a little biased to use Nvidia software in the biggest engine in the world.
PhysX is one of the best physics engines in the world that has had years of development for stability and optimisation. It's free, source is available and works very well. Why wouldn't you use it?
