Memory Frequency & Voltage Help

I purchased 4GB (2*2GB) Corsair Memory with the timings at 9-9-9-24, 1600MHz and 1.5V.

When I obtained the memory, the label said that the memory runs at 1.65V. I rang up the supplier and they said that 'Corsair labelled some memory incorrectly, just change the settings in the BIOS'.

So, I changed the DRAM Frequency to 1600MHz and the DRAM Voltage to 1.5V. Attempted to boot, and got a POST error (For the DRAM) and then the BIOS saying that 'Overclocking failed'.

I tried to change the Voltage to 1.65V like it said on the label with the frequency at 1600MHz, but again, got a POST error.

Now it's currently running at 'Auto' which is 1333MHz and 1.5V.

Any suggestions to either:

1) Try and get the memory at 1600MHz and 1.5V like I purchased?

2) Try and get the memory at 1600MHz and 1.65V like the label?

Thanks in advance.

the sticker is never wrong, that comes from their qa and is the speed/voltage its rated at by them. the supplier is a sales agent not an engineer.

try 1600 at the next voltage setting up from 1.65v as you might be getting some vdroop at 1.65v which takes it under.

Okay, I will try that a little later - thanks very much

Just a quick update, everything is working now, I didn't realise that my memory came with X.M.P xD, so I've set the memory to the X.M.P profile settings which is 1600MHz at the 9-9-9-24 timings
