Mayhems Radiators

Before i publish these i would like people to know these Temps are of my own system and may not correspond to other systems. I will allso make them very easy to under stand and this is not a complex right up.

Thermochill 480mm Vs Mayhems 360mm (both Low CFM performance rads)

4 fans on the Themrochill running at 1200 RPM, 3 fans on the Mayhems Rad running at 1200 RPM

A simple ball valve was used to switch between the Thermochill Rad and the Mayhems Rad so nothing was disturbed between switch over.

TC 480mm = 41c After 4 hours of prime

M 360mm = 43c After 4 Hour of Prime

Mayhems 360mm Rad was -2c behind Thermochill's 480mm rad - Test's confirmed from a independent tester who results were 2c behind the same rad.

Black ICE GT Xtreme 360mm Vs Mayhems 360mm rad

Fans running at 1200 RPM. Same again simple ball value in system to switch between rads as not to disturb set up.

Black ICE GT EX 360mm = 45c After 4 hours of prime

Mayhems 360mm rad = 41.5c After 4 hours of prime.

If any testers would like to pop up and say there testing score your welcome to but no pics of the rads please.

This was tests done on the Ver 1 rad so really they are irreverent as were working on version 2 to improve the rad some more in the aesthetics department and all so to help bleeding of the system. Some of the changes we are going to incorporate may improve performance or may drop the performance we just don't know yet.

Those are some good temps, your rads will be competitive

Don't worry about aesthetics too much though performance > looks, although looking good is an advantage, performance is what will sell more.

what sie said.

look at Noctua, for most ppl its UGLY when they first see it and they still buy it, THEN when they see its preformance they grow to likeing the look a little more (well some do some don't) but the point is that they bought it

Well tapping holes by hand ,Tapping M4. Not easy ..

only 1440 holes to do ....

there are going to be a few marks on the rads (little scratches) how ever im doing my best to avoid them as much as possible. Just hope my tapping set holds up to doing this amount. Im going to supply enough screws to do push pull in M4 but only for normal fans not slim line ones.

1st. Rivnuts are much better than tapping, I remember the old Thermochills and when tapping those you wouldnt want to send that out as a finished manufacturer product. Theres also no way youll get them all straight either. Thats why I switched all my mods to rivnuts because tapping was fooking crap. - Bit dissapointed here tbh dude.

2nd. the finish on the side of that rad looks terrible

Rivnuts are fine untill they start to spin, and if they start to spin on a rad you have no chance on getting a set of pliers on them to hold them. At least if the thread gets pulled on the rad You can hellicoil it, or retap it with a larger tap.

Cant helicoil material this thin dude. If it had been rivnuted before spraying it would have been fine.

I used to sell custom modded Thermochills on ebay, out of the 100+ rads I sold none of them had any problems.

Yeh weve been looking into rivet nuts how ever not possible for these ones and the paint work on them is perfectly fine.

Pics are deceiving on them. Its taken a bit to get the paint on them right. Dont forget though these haven't been powder coated with high heat for short time. These have been done low heat for a long time. Powder coating rads is not the easiest of tasks. If the side were removable it would have been much easier to do. Live and learn though.

Dude your talking to someone who has powdercoated and knows the processes inside out and back to front.

If the pics are deceving then you should have taken some better photos cos the peel in those pics look gash!
