Mayhems Glass Tubing

Hi

Looking into using Mayhem's glass tubing for my redo of the H440 Redux build. Has anyone used it? It looks pretty amazing and clear and should be durable and have no interaction with any fluid. I am torn as I realize that its going to be super expensive in fittings. Thinking of 16mm tube for the build. Just one 90 degree bend is going to be 2xBitspower 16mm Enhanced fittings and one 90 degree adapter. Thats close to $30 in fittings.

Do you guys think the glass tubing is worth it?

I don't really see what glass is bringing to the table which acrylic can't offer. Slightly better scratch resistance doesn't seem like a great trade off for the fact it's at best difficult to cut and impossible to bend. Acrylic tubing is very versatile aesthetically and structurally, personally it's the only transparent offering I would use.

Its a big different if you have a Acryl or a borosilicat glass tubing in your hand. You can`t see it in a video or on pics, but you will know what i am talking about, if you see both kind of HardTubes in ar rig in front of you ;)

Glass tubing is brilliant and easy to cut, its alot harder then Acrylic and is much more durable, looks much cleaner and simply put is a Level up on Plastic hard tubing. Pre bent peaces do help but do not need to be used.

We are looking into glass tubing further and will have a few surprise's up our sleeve if we pull it off in which im sure other companies will copy once again.

We can build a glass tubed PC in less than 1 hour fully rigged out and with only a £1.50 tool. Cannot see you doing that with plastic bending and the like. All you need is a scorer and some wet and dry, you don't need to use a drill what so ever. You do to be need to careful of glass particles and its best to were a cheap 50p face mask when doing it.

At the end of the day you pay for what you get and you get what you pay for.

I'll be getting all mayhems where possible including glass tubing as I much prefer the cleaner look, When I finally get around to doing my build although that music is definitely from a 90's disco porno ^_^

From what I can see in the video it looks so much cleaner. Acrylic tubes tend to scratch easily whereas the glass ones remain crystal clear. I'll be looking into this for sure if I decide to redo my rig in the future! :o

Do not be miss informed hardened glass scratches easier than normal glass and is also softer than normal glass. All so its harder than acrylic and doesn't absorb coolant like PETG. There are lots of advantages to working with glass but the largest down side is bending it. How ever ! We can always get the glass pre bent to your shape as well :). If you would like pre-bent shapes send us you Pre made peaces in Plastic and we will copy them in glass. We can do this because the glass blower is local to us not the other side of the earth.
