i think its for the wireless AC card that they include

hmmm..i thought that but the one that comes with the M6F if completely different and the I/O shield doesnt look to have hole for the wireless ports. AND, I havent see any adapter in the pics of the packaging.

Its a PCI-E slot that uses adapters from laptops, eg SSD drives, wireless cards etc.
