what would you good fellas say is the max 24/7 temp of a q6600 at the min im @ 3.5ghz 1.5v 62 57 62 57 load temps how long will my chip last at these temps many thanks

they look safe to me... I wouldnt go past 60-65 on load personally.. but those temps seem okay to me.

Are you using water or air?

I would have expected cooler with wc if I`m honest. As far as the cpu is concerned tho, if ur maxing at that temp it`ll be ok. I`d get nervous at seeing 65/70 alot although it will operate at that temp and a little higher - I`d not like it.

Be even more unhappy being under water tho.

is your block seated properly? Too much TIM they do seem a tad high for water.. the idles are fine.. But with such a massive increase its abit odd

is this too much

im at 3.4ghz 1.42v load 59 52 52 59 load at the min

That application works fine. When the block or sink is pressed on it it spreads well enough.

Other opinions stem to spreading it urself.

The only thing that would stop it spreading itself is if there was an obstruction - maybe some dirt/grease. Spreading it urself removes those thoughts.

It might be me, but I would expect about 10/15 degrees on top of that for an air cooler - so as u might imagine, I`d expect wc to be better. Some1 with similar would be the best to get more precise advice from.

this is really pi*sing me off now i have droped it to 3.2ghz just above stock volts and im still full loading at 52 46 52 46 surely i should be loading lower than this my water cooling is

pump Laing DDC 1Pro

rad xspc dual 120 rad

dtec fuzion block

fans Xilence XPF120R Red Wing 120mm x4 puch pull

can anyone help me im really thinking about pulling it all out and putting air cooling back in

according to Intel for the g0 max 71c: http://processorfinder.intel.com/details.aspx?sSpec=SLACR

Since there we arent sure if a program like coretemp is accurate as Intel never provided the TjMax for this CPU and this is more like a ques there is always a margin of error when it comes to this. Therefore I would say, depending on Vcore, ( as not only heat kills/degrade cpu but volts plays a very big part). Sweet spot is udner 60c, but I woundnt worry until 65c.
