Okay so I am about to embark on this game.

Before I do, I thought I would share with you performance test details using nvidia 91.33 drivers but unpatched game - no tweaks at all.

Both tests ran is 1600x1200 (highest it would allow me to go) first pic is 4xAA with HDR, 2nd test is 4xAA and 16xAF and all other options are maxxed out.

Cards are set at 750/900 and FX60 CPU is running at 3.36ghz.

Not bad eh?

The big question - should I run the game with AF or HDR for best effects?

Cheers Rackem mate,

Just finished the game - very intense, made the hairs on me arms stand on end in places, probably a little short but overall a great game.

Cheers

Nice scores dude (not sure why I missed this thread first time round). Did you use HDR or AF in the end? I might try the demo of this to see if I like it.

I played with AF - but then re-completed the last quarter again tonight with HDR.

TBH the HDR is overused and for that reason alone I prefer no HDR. It's a great technology and in the right balance could be great for games, developers just have to stop endulging themselves (like a kid with a new toy).

I have to say though using HDR, the 7900's did chuck out 2-3 degrees more heat which leads me to believe that the HDR architecture needs optimising in the next gen cards (G80 and R600).

Awsome FPS, yeah still getting round to finishing this myself. Ghost Recon AW taking my time at the moment. :)

Direct comparison:

FX60 @ 3.4ghz

AS above but with Conroe @ 3.75ghz using 4xAA 16x AF (not HDR) on hacked 84.66 drivers.

Either is totally playable at 1600*1200 with Full AA and AF enabled - the difference really shows how much a conroe CPU will release more FPS.

But it just goes to show that a high end AMD SKT939 can still perform in the most testing of todays games and make it look easy ;)
