Masterkleer Clear Tubing "genuine?"

Hi there.

I recently ordered MasterKleer Clear 1/2 3/8 tubing and I am not sure if what I received is actual MasterKleer tubing. I have used MasterKleer tubes before and the one I received this time was very strange but I have never used this particular tubing before so I thought I might as well ask.

Firstly it feels much worse quality than the hose I used before. It is much stiffer and the walls are thicker.

Also the walls have a weird ice-like texture to them. Best picture I could get. Its quite tricky to take a picture of something transparent.

At first I thought it was because it was cold outside so the tubing was also cold when I opened it. But after a while the stiffness remained and I noticed the tubing also had a much thicker wall. I have shown this in comparison to an old piece of white MasterKleer tubing.

I ordered this from candccentral which is where I order most of my water cooling "fitting/hose/extras" so I consider them a trusted seller.

Just checked some Masterkleer i have laying around. (1/2in.ID, 3/4in.OD, 1/8in.wall thikness)

Regarding wall thikness its the same as yours.

It sure is alot stiffer, i came from tygon to Masterkleer and i first was shocked about it.

The ice-like texture is not present on my tubingg tho, mine is nice and smooth.

Maybe you got a batch that had some manufacturing issues.
