Major problem with GPU

Hi guys, recently when i play a game or watch a film they lag and a buzzing sound is made. I assume it is a GPU issue but i would just like to have some confirmation. My GPU is Sapphire HD 6770. Thanks in advance.

i guess the best place to start is to uninstall the drivers and then reinstall the latest ones and then work from there.

http://www.guru3d.com/category/driversweeper/ is a great tool to make sure you have completely removed all traces of the previous drivers from your system.

That said i would wait to see what some of the others say, this is just what i have done in the past and it worked fine for me

hmm it could be dry but only if you intensively game at 100% for maybe 10 hours or more a day on average.

should have asked beforehand? does it overheat? what temps?

i don't really play that often. if i do will play for 1 hour max. the temps in BF3 usually stick around 53

no its still at stock speeds. also i have done a memest for 9 hours so im sure its not the ram.

it could be interference in the cabling or speakers, much like if you have a telephone next to a speaker and you recieve a message. Otherwise I would gets something like Process Explorer and check to see if there are any hardware interrupts. I've seen HW Conflicts between the HD Audio controller on the graphics card and the Onboard Audio controller. Last time I saw this it was a HD 5670 on a Asus A8-MVP motherboard. but it either caused the computer to crash, run extremely poorly, or when it did decide to work there was a constant static noise and all audio was out of sync.
