Hi,

I have had the MachI for over 3 years and now want to setup a new rig.

I am trying to get a list of MachI compatible motherboards for the LGA775 Processors.

I actualy have the Abit Fatal1ty AA8XE with Intel 630 3.0 CPU.

Before I go ahead and order the 775 kit I would like to know if it will be compatible with this motherboard if not which other motherboards?

Thanks in advance

Guess I'll have to bite the bullet and test this for myself.

The major concern in all this is that the LGA775 boards all seem to have capacitors around the CPU area, which could mean the block will not mount to the motherboard properly or there will be a gap.

If anyone has setup a MachI or MachII on a LGA775 I would appreciate some info on the above or even better pictures of the mounting.

Thanks

Most definitely work fine, but there are one or two boards if memory serves that can cause problems - however these are older boards and I cant remember which ones they are. The best bet it to keep this thread current and see what happens.

I got this baby up and running with the new LGA775 kit.

Had to use a dual PSU for boot purposes as it wouldnt hold the reset.

I can fianlly say 'I got 5GHz' :D

At 4.9ghz with no graphics o/c and standard drivers it managed 29,000+ 3dmark2001se. I havent done any 2003 or 2005 tests yet.

0.7V core? Over 300FSB 1:1? 5GHz!

I'm so outdated with my skt478, I'm suffering from update hardware fever!

CPU-Z is giving an incorrect reading it should show 1.735v
