I have this mach2 Gt here i was fixing for a friend. It was working fine then one dayit started playing up.

with no wires connected to the controller (ie no power to molex and nothing to the wires that normally connect to the case power switch and the mobo used to turn it on.)

when i plug the mains power cord in it runs?

Every time I remove the mains power cord it stops, then when i plug it back in it start cooling straight away.

where the power plugs is all those 4 lights are stuck on every time now.

Hello matey, try reflashing the firmware if thats possible, using the guide in the stickies.Welcome to the U.K's best forum btw.

thanxs guys, fancy seeing Thickbrit and fatty here ;)

have to give that a try hey. only issue at the moment i have is i dont have the 775 socket kit to mount to my pc, i guess i could do it on air:? shouldnt make a difference.

I tried on air. reloaded the bios to the mach2. then the software started to work again. I managed to read this on an old socket A.

Now the controller also starts properly, but the LCd doesnt work.

i think i need a new one

are these displays the same as the gfroster displays?

innot can some one give me a link to one so i can buy one from the electronics shop here in australia.

Sorry mate unsure if they are the same what colour display do you need if any I may be able to get you a cheap one ;)

I received a replacement LCD the other day and the cooler is all working now finally.

I tried to attach the 775 socket so I can load test this thing ready for a friends quad core.

From what I have seen the caps to the left of the socket seem to be getting in the way, they only need about 2mm so that the screw holes line up and I can screw that back plate down. Has any one used the 775 kits on a Asus P5B, was there any tricks needed to get it to fit.

Hey Kayl! The only thing I can think of is probs the same as what you`re thinking...grind down the offending sections. The seal string should make sure the gasket remains good and airtight

Hey Kayl,i meant to do a guide for this, but it's easy enough anyway. You just put a single bead of seal string on the back plate, the front mounting bracket and the evap head.Lay a single bead all the way around the outer edge of each part and crimp the 2 ends together where they meet with your fingers.Try to keep the bead central on the front bracket to avoid snagging those caps as you fit it.I like to wipe all faces down with IPA before applying sealstring,to get much better adhesion.
