Mach II + ABIT IC7-MAX3

Hi folks

Are there any problems I should know about regarding mounting a Mach II cooler on the ABIT IC7-MAX3 motherboard?

Just wondering since the OTIS cooler looks like it could potentially get in the way.

Thanks in advance

Chris

naa it would b fine mate, many ppl use that board with mach II's but jus b aware that the ic7-max3 reads temps pretty high, so dnt straight away think u ave a contact prob.

You can do it, but from personal experience I'm not keen. You have to remove the Mofset plastic for starters.

ye v.true. phil u managed 2 improve ur 3dmark score yet? does overclockin ur card really give u that much of a improvement in 3dmark01, as ive got 22,600 with my xt @ stock

seen a few people use ic7-max3's and mach2's.

i also noticed their pwm/mosfets temps are much cooler aswell, since the OTES heatsinks will be near the evaporator.

 the evaporator runs warm externally - it gives off heat mate - its only internally that is freezes. I dont see how that woud help.

the evaporator isnt cool to the touch, its warm...not cold...nore does it push air into the mosfets...

so the mosfets stay cool from another reason i guess

Lol phil you were first... :p

didnt even see your post...

hmhmh just came back from work 04:26....gotta go to bed i guess....

I removed my OTES cooling then put it back on after I've completed the final seal string op.

I also had to file grooves into my intel kit to get it to sit tidy. Actually, to get any kind of real contact at all is what I mean :P
