Has anybody but the conroe under a mach 2 gt yet,as im very interested in how it would do.

Thanks

That should be interesting :)

Thing is phil ive just sold all my AMD parts ready to turn to the dark side (Intel conroe) and im in two minds to keep my mach 2 gt or sell it on.

Now i have been hearing good things about this cpu but nothing about phase cooling one of them, and they do overclock well on air and water.

I have about £800 to spend on cpu/motherboard and ddr 2 2gb ram and im not sure what to get tbh :/

4.5ghz under phase seems to be the norm, air and water both top out at 3.9-4ghz.

Worth keeping if the results scale that extra 10% :)

The E6700 ES I have atm is currently sitting under my phase with the evap @ about -48 (K-Probe) and about -40 in the BIOS which is pretty decent I think personally.

Defo keep it, 4.5Ghz is a little ambitious though I have to say, as we needed LN2 for that or cascade @ -84. Doesn't mean I won't be trying it though :P

From what you've said though mate, your's doesnt seem to be an "uber" CPU, it's a little below average clockspeed wise (but that doesnt stop it from being stunningly quick)

Under phase 4.5ghz should be achievable with a decent CPU, hell fair few of the guys are running 4ghz + on air at the mo!!

Boardy any chance of some piccys of the mach cpu kit on the board, also how did you fit the cpu kit with sealstring?

The bord is whats creating the problems on the rig, stopping it form going some more.

Keep phase. Get a decent head kit on here and you'r laughing

I can't mate, I don't use a Mach, I use my own custom built unit. Same with my GPU's for benching I built a custom SLI cooler for them.

Look for Thicky guide on the LGA 775 kit. The mounting is all the same
