Mach 2 GT temps

This is the second day of playing with my new Mach 2 GT. I have seen posts with the display showing -65c, and people saying that the reported temps are way off on the LCD. Mine is showing -25c load with an X2 3800 at stock:O . It this a genuine reading? My unit also came with Panaflo fans as opposed to the Sunon fans. Have new units been tuned more accuratly?

the temperature probes either suck, or are measuring the wrong thing. Believe more what the BIOS says :)

-25 loaded on an X2 aint bad...hell my Opto 150 gives me -7 loaded. Not stock tho ;)

OF course you can improve the contact on the CPU by sanding the little stand off legs of the black plastic part of the CPU kit (cpu side not backplate).

Not sure which bolts you are using either (spring type or O-Ring) type either way add more washers to the bolts (4 on each) and re-tighten the unit up.

At 1.55v that 3800 should puch up to 2.8Ghz no problems and you should still get sub zero temps.

That should help your load temps - of course plus temps is not a bad thing under load (up to around +12 degrees) and as people have already said your temps seem about right.

Use the control software to increase the fan speed (increasing the rear fan keeps noise level down) or even put anotehr 120mm fan inside the front of the lian li panel of your mach unit (use seal string to hold it close to the radiator in front ;)).

Great rig you got there BTW.

Cheers guys.

Adding a fan to the front sounds like a good idea. I shall try that! :B

Now all I need is a new PSU and mobo to do some proper clocking.

Any recomendations for a PSU to replace my 480w Antec TB?

Tagan 580U-15! Woot!

Err.... I`m guessing a jump from 480W to 510 or 580W units aint much of an upgrade, so I`d prob say the FSP 700W effort (or twin Tagan 580U-15s)
