So when I had the Sabertooth Z87 I had to put in 1.30 to get my overclock of 4.80GHZ, Nothing on that board would let me go lower even though it is a rock solid board.
Originally I had it at 1.28 but found it was unstable in certain benchmarks and 1.30 fixed all that.
I recently switched to the Maximus VI Formula and now I can have 1.27 running all the same benchmarks etc... fully stable.
Now I understand that better components equals a better experience but what exactly enables this i.e which component/s ?
