Lower-Level Fermis To Come Mid-Late Summer

about time looks good alot less VRAM but if its priced at around 250ish then it will be cool, lets hope its cooler than the high end model.

and still has enough power, will this be aimed at the 5850?

It'll be very interesting to see quite how well these mid range graphics cards perform.

If the specifications are indeed confirmed, the graphics card has the potential to cause another 8800GT phenomenon. If the graphics card uses high frequency GDDR5 like the HD 5770/5870, it could potentially compensate for it's narrower memory interface and with well over 50% more stream processors than the GTX 285, this graphics card could perform in HD 5850 territory. Fingers crossed we'll also be seeing sensible temperatures and power consumption from it too.

As the lesser aimed cards are released, it would be interesting to see how the shaders oc soley in relation to folding.

If the scale of core halfing goes down through each card, even a shader oc'd 440 could out fold it's earlier generation.

Cooling really not being an issue, cheap folding rigs with outstanding results.
