Loop order

So some of you know I am looking to water cool my rig on an extreme low budget and I doubt I will have all the parts to complete it this year
This will be my very first custom loop.
Undecided on rad location but will probable go up top although I might just do a front rad/res combo placement.
This is were I am at with regards to loop order with my amazing gimp skills lol.

I won't be cooling the graphics as there does not appear to be a block for my card and I don't wanna ghetto it.

Any tips or advice appreciated.

Whats a crossflow radiator?
I was thinking of using the 240 rad from my Antec AIO

It has very little to no difference actually. Flow speed and restrictions will be the same. I didnt even know these radiators were in circulation. Could be very useful for me actually.

your rad should come directly after your hottest component, so that cooler coolant enters the pump.

even though the coolant will be flowing so fast around the loop that it will have hardly any hot spots, you do not really want hotter coolant entering the pump - where the temps can increase.

loop = res -> pump -> [GPU (if cooled)] -> CPU -> radiator -> back to res.
or have CPU and GPU(s) on independent loops.

if you have one GPU (un-overclocked) and an overclocked CPU one loop, with a 280mm or 360mm should suffice.

if you have more than one GPU and/or they are heavily overclocked, as well as your overclocked CPU, then seperate loops are recommended. one for the GPU(S) and one for the CPU

Only thing that matters, is RES before Pump.
The rest is theory, and will only matter until the loop hits a steady state.
It's not like the temp difference before and after a component is 10c, its more like 0,something.

Actually I would say build the loop order in what ever is easiest to connect or whatever pleases your eye most. Water if using a pump like DDC or D5 flows so fast that the water temperature normalises anyway. And Dual loop vs single loop shows a 2C for the majority of builders at most, on a good day. If we start talking about min/maxing performance then you need to go into the real nitty gritty details of fin spacing, rad thickness vs fan speed, since thin rads can run fans at a lower speed, PSI per component or fitting and so on.

I tested a dual setup vs a single in my 900D long ago. There was no gain except it looked awesome. These days I would prefer doing away with the worry about restriction by having dual pumps in a single loop.

Not trying to debunk your post, it's just that it makes very little difference these days. If anything my loop order would be down to the easiest way to connect my hardware and drain it out when needed.
