Looking for water cooling part suggestions

According to PassMark (http://www.cpubenchmark.net/high_end_cpus.html) the 8150 performs pretty well, better than the 3570K but granted, less than the 3770K.

But, as i have said a few times now, I'm only looking for water cooling advice for the AMD system at the moment.

Programs never use 8 cores. At best, they'll use 2 or 3.

Think of it like this -
AMD scores 8166
3570k scores 7722 on half the cores than the AMD - on a program that is designed to stress every core it can (so not actually real world applications)
So lets do some calculations...

The AMD would score 1020.75 if reduced to 1 core.
The Intel would score 1930.5 if reduced to 1 core...

Meaning per core - the Intel is 47.1% faster in actual use ie - in Windows, in gaming - and most likely rendering too, as the program wont fully take advantage of every single core of the AMD so even in most programs that will use every core of the AMD - the Intel will still win.

You're also forgetting that you can overclock the intel to far higher speeds than you can with the AMD. Especially under water - I'd expect the intel to be pushing 4.8-5ghz and you wont get near that with the AMD.

I just dont understand why you're so against going with intel?

This all feels a little reminiscent...

Thanks for your explanation.

I'm not against Intel, I'm just looking at the 2 different options and trying to piece together a few different rig ideas. I may soon piece together an Intel based one but I was first looking into the AMD solution :)

They are in my signature.
But im fread of EK did get best of them and made changes of model they have now, you may look them on EK they have some circule thing (idont like it) going on now...
Maybe you are lucky and get some old store hopefully. :)

Edit: + Ek's loop turns, 5 times 45* and 8 times 90* turns in picture allso all are "hf" outlets from EK

I have said COUNTLESS times now, I will be looking at an Intel solution as well but I am first looking at an AMD one. Please stop mentioning it.

I came just for water cooling parts advice for the AMD one which would pretty much be the same for an Intel one too, just a different CPU block or even a universal one. I would just like some helpful info on water cooling options that are good performance for a good price but also keep in with the red/black theme.

Okay, sorry for going off topic.

What are your plans for radiators?
Can you list the rest of your specs too?
If like you have 4 HDDs then removing the bays may not be an option. Also we may need to plan around a power supply?
A full spec list would help mate

The EK supreme, i use, was on my Intell setup before, so they come alltheway from box(atleast did).

i would bet half of them havent even use FX 4xxx or greater series AMD, just seen rewards. So do what you like its your money anyways. Intells is the king at themoment like AMD was on Athlon at times with lower clocks and shit but rocks have turn,...

Seumasbeabeathan, show me results where your choise CPU takes like 10FPS over every game and i took it to my money looker so i can get new PC parts ;)
Sry OT :(

Edit; did change your words before me did you ;)

I'll be using 2 SSD's and 1 3.5" drive, so 1 of the HDD cage can be removed. There will be 1 dvd/blue-ray drive and possible a fan controller so I can remove the hot swap bay and get a dual res in. Currently, a Corsair AX850 seems to be a good PSU, for the fact you can buy colour cables for it, so red ones may go well. A single 7970 GPU, motherboard may vary but ASUS have a nice range of red/black V Formula boards for AMD and Intel. And the case being the NZXT Switch in black.

XSPC Raystorm waterblock
XSPC Razor 7970
RX360 in the roof
with the XSPC dual bay res for a D5 pump (then obviously the D5 pump :P )

This.

I'd go for Primochill Primoflex tubing with some Mayhem's Pastel red, but that's just me.

Bitspower makes some awesome fittings, so I'd go for matte black 1/2" barbs or 1/2" ID 3/4" OD compression fittings, depends on what you like.

Tubing should be 7/16 ID if using barbs barbs, and 1/2" ID/ 3/4" OD for compression fittings.
