Hey Guys,

I'm looking to upgrade my ram and would love some recommendation and advice.

My motherboard is the GA-P67A-UD7-B3
My CPU is a 2600k

I'm looking for a 32gb 2133 kit.

I'm an editor and enjoy an occasional gaming session.
Main purpose is video editing and rendering.

Thanks for your thoughts :)

seen a 32GB corsair vengeance kit, cl10 1.5V for about 380 euros.
the corsair vengeance pro kits and the new avexir blitz ram might be worth a look as well.
32GB corsair vengeance pro, cl11 1.5V would be about 370 euros.
32GB avexir blitz, cl9 1.65V 360 euros, but i am not sure how well sandy bridge handels 1.65V.

maybe give us your current specs to see if it is even worth it. ~400 euros is a lot of money for RAM.

For a change and instead of following the crowd and looking at Corsair you might want to have a look at Avexir.

They do kits all the way up to 2900, The kit I have is from them, 4 x 8GB sticks running at 2400, You can get them plain looking or lit up.

They have 3 different series out, The basic series which has no lights or flashyness at all -

The Core series which is my favourite *I have these but in Green* -

And the Blitz series which has a unique design and lights up -

Going to 32gb of RAM is a lot of extra work for the CPU integrated memory controller. Even if the memory you use is rated to run at 2133mhz you may still have to underclock it to get it running.

I highly doubt that, I had a 2600K running nicely at 4.50GHZ and 32GB of 2133, Put it in the volts etc.. and it ran great.

I don't know where you got that info about having to underclock but that information is very wrong.

I think spending thousands a year on GPU's has riddled your mind Kaap :p

For performance, I'd just go Vengeance Pro.

For sexiness, I'd definitely go Dom Plats, Avexir or Mushkin :)

i have no clue why they put blue LEDs on the blitz mpower ram. that is the one thing they shouldn't have picked up from the mpower series.

Seriously? Doesn't that kinda.. defeat the whole purpose? Sigh xD

Some CPUs have stronger IMCs than others, the Corsair website has plenty of people who are very disappointed that they can not boot up with their RAM running at it's rated speed.

True but that's a tiny minority compared to the users who have great experience
