Look what I been doing tonight!

VB's post has prompted me to purchase a fire extinguisher before I go any further. 5KG CO2 one coming from ebay :)

Glad to be of service. To be honest I'll be amazed if many cheaper ones survive the test and certainly if many at all keep up their efficiency.

Sweex. Really, fireworks guarantueed.

Good thing you bought a fire extinguisher, would be a silly accident:

Insurance: "Why did your house burn to the ground?"

Jim: "I, err..."

Insurance: "You, errr?"

Jim: "Was testing some PSU's"

That looks good...now just stick a massive heat source (e.g. nuclear reactor, 4870X2) and watch the power supplies melt...mwahahahaha

Joking aside, get the thing vetted by the qualified sources.

If that's u, then kewl :D

300W ought to do it, in what looks like a conspiracy nut's choice of headwear. Also definitely get that extinguisher checked...nothing like explaining that to the insurers..."well I had this extinguisher...but it was full of oxygen"

The highly popular and reliable EBuyer ATX 300w Power supply

i can see the customer review now..

comment: i think the "reliable" wording is totally inaccurate. I merely ran this psu on my supercomputer rig in a heated case lined with foil and subjected it to full load and it blew up! quite frankly i think this is unnacceptable and i shall be returning the charred remains of the unit to ebuyer for a refund, well, once i extract the molex plug from my daughters head.

"Ideal for system builders who like to be kept in buisness till the end of time and anyone working to a tight budget and who likes explosions (i.e. Jim).
