Look at this extreme prom mod!

A modded GT chilly1 headed unit does -20 to -25 under 210W of heatload so for all that work it aint that fancy nice mod

You get what you pay for at the end of the day - my Chilly1's are priced accordingly because I have to pay for parts and labour to make the modification in the first place AND I have to provide a warranty. I simply cant do it for any less unfortunately. I have to make a profit (albeit a few percent) in order to keep going.

I know Phil, but I'm just a poor student :)

This mod would be about 75-100 euro's, that's about 60-75£ I guess.

And as I don't need warranty the chilly1's are too expensive for me :)

You can get your unit if you own one converted a little cheaper a regass will get you -15 to -18 under 210W of heatload and its done here in the UK is bercut offering the mod as a service?? if so I doubt he is putting a chilly1 head and a new condenser onto a mach2 gt for 75 to 100 euros maybe he is saying thats what it cost for him but a chilly1 head from the states will cost you more than that so TBH 75 to 100 euros shipped to the uk thats full of **** you couldnt even do the mod yourself that cheap

No I'm not talking about a chilly1 head, talking about the second condensater as seen on the first link. The total mod would be about 75-100€ incl R507, but still with the original prometeia head.

Well if you think you can get it done for that all I can say is go for it I still think shipping alone will cost you more than the mod oh and all a second condenser will give you is more capacity I guess the pev will help stop the refrigerant slagging back to the compressor so no plinking

Well there's a belgian phase change guru in my list who says he can do this for this price. But I'm not sure wether to do this or only a refill and maybe a chilly1 head

Ok well good luck is all I can say I hope it all works out for you I didn't realise you are over there and not in the UK
