Lol at my idle temps i7 3770k at stock

[sharedmedia=core:attachments:4368]

[sup]I get about 22-30 with idle 1.195 vcore no speedstep so 3500ghz.[/sup]

[sup]The nh d14 works well on the 3770k even at 4.4 hardly got above 70 and mostly stayed at around 50-60's during ibt.[/sup]

[sup]EDIT: what cooler are you using? have you tried overclocking?[/sup]

In the winter I can get my CPU (1090t stock) idle temp in the single digits with a stock cooler

amd temps lie, mine tried to tell me it was under 20c on the cores when the room was warmer lol

depends upon your ambient temp dude but with speedstep kicking it won to 1.6ghz on 1.0v it will run cool.

my 25k @4.5ghz all the time stays under 25c idle in 20ish c ambient.

Normally about 1c higher than my CPU temp. Using the H100 with Noctuas. Also I didn't have to increase voltage on my 1090t to get my 4.00 ghz overclock stable so that isn't making produce too much more heat.

how can your room temperature be higher then your CPU's unless your going to all lengths with cooling.

my rig sits around 4C above ambient and that is with water cooling and on base Vcore. How ever over clocked it sits a bit higher.

That core is sah indie... sorry I had to.

It might be that your chip is reporting temperatures slightly below the actual value and your room temps are being measured slightly above actual values, but those temps are still bloody weird because both pairs of the cores in my 2600k are at virtually identical temps, i.e. two cores are at 55 and the other two are at 58 for example.
