I used to, I had their flagship X52 flight stick after my Sidewinder broke, it was a nice stick very sturdy and solidly built but the plastics soon perished and started creeking. You could tell after a while where they'd cut corners in the manufacturing process. Still things can only get better with Logitech at the helm.Interesting. I've only used a few Saitek products and they've never been of great quality, they were cheap though, so expected.
Does anyone here rate Saitek?
My x52 pro is holding up nicely, granted i only use it for elite dangerous and even in that i do exploration, which doesn't require a lot of action, that said, it does feel like a good product, despite it being an old design from like 9 years ago, saitek was kind enough to provide windows 10 drivers, and it works like a charm, i never have any issues with it.
That said though, i am really pleased logitech picked them up, mad cats has had interesting designs and i loved their Rat mouse design, but it always fails internally, cheap switches in a 70 euro mouse is not acceptable. Anyhow, i hope logitech does something with it and continues to honor the deal saitek/madcats had with star citizen for a custom set of hotas designs.
I cant say I am terribly fond of logitech either
Their QC isnt exactly very good. Especially with their speakers.
Hopefully now it's away from the abysmal quality control of Madcatz the next Saitek HOTAS might be back to the old days where it lasted forever and was built like a tank.
Same boat especially since becoming a Moderator, my scroll wheel is hammered daily.. I thought forum browsing was bad before, but damn son! Ordered a spare Technet M009 last month as I've fallen in love with my "El Cheepo" and it's still rock solid. Used to have expensive mice before but never again.I think those days are gone mate.
Over the past couple of years I've literally thrown money at peripherals trying desperately to buy quality products. They've all been just as bad, ranging from £30-£120 for a mouse.
I am quite heavy on mice because my main hobby now is modding PCs. And when I'm not modding PCs I am reading other people's logs of modding their PCs. That means you come across a lot of junk and thus have to use the scroll wheel a lot to find anything decent in the log. And every time they start to judder, then jump like half a page at once.
The last expensive mouse I bought was a Steelseries WOW wireless. I paid £40 for it brand new boxed but it had a retail of £120. Sure enough, two months in the scroll wheel died. When I opened it to inspect it the entire scroll mech was plastic.
So I deliberately went out and bought a mouse costing £9, just to see if it was any worse. Here I am months later still using it.
You guys need to find the page down key...

I've had three sets of speakers die a gradual death - random volume drops/spikes and one the left speaker just stopped working after crackling for a while. I'd guess at poor internal wiring.
No it's not been a PC audio issue as the headphones plugged in at the same time work fine.
Aside from that I've been pretty lucky - Logitech Extreme 3D joystick died after too many mechwarriors and flight sims (it was only $60) and the Saitek has been solid ever since.
G510 keyboard is solid, 502mouse has been great.
Software is a little glitchy from time to time - especially detecting the G29 but I really only use that to change the default "can't read it at night" blue keyboard keys to red.
