Logitech G19s Review:

Introduction:
The Logitech G19s Gaming Keyboard is Logitech new Flagship keyboard. By taking everything we know and love about the G19 and making it better. Featuring a new Colour Gamepanel, twelve fully programmable macro keys, LED backlighting with over 16 million different colours to choose from. We all know that Logitech are great at what they do when it comes to peripherals. And we all know they make amazing keyboards and this really take everything to a whole new level.

Price:
Now when I bought the keyboard I got it on special for nearly $200 AUS. But I saw soon after making the purchase, the full retail price in Australia cost over $250 AUS which I thought was ridiculous due to the fact that I could get it off PC Case Gear for $175 AUS. Now the keyboard has some amazing feature but no flower is perfect in this case. There are a couple of thing that they could have changed. Being a Flagship keyboard, we would have thought that it would have been mechanical. But unfortunately Logitech have stuck to the membrane keys. Even though I sometimes prefer membrane keys but Cherry MX Brown switches would have been a nice touch.

Macro Keys:
The twelve macro keys that they have put on this keyboard are amazing. I've never been the biggest macro key fan but these keys made my mind change. Twelve may be a bit over kill but it is a nice thing to have. In the Gaming Software all of your games are detected automatically. Simply all you have to is drag a command onto the macro key of your choice.

Back Lighting:
Now moving on to the backlighting and holy hell I love this backlight. Now you have, yes, 16 million different colours to choose from. The only problem that I have with it is the backlighting is a little to dark. It could have been brighter which I would have loved but we can’t have everything. You can set three colour profiles by using the Logitech Gaming Software. One colour you can’t change is the orange backlight for the GamePanel menu buttons which is annoying because I hate the colour orange.

Gaming Software:
Now this is one of the many things I want to talk about because it is just that amazing. The Logitech Gaming Software is the best software I've ever used. It is a very well rounded software with all the bells and whistles. Being able to set up all your macro keys in seconds, going from a greens backlight to a sexy hot pink backlight and setting up your gaming profiles at the touch of a button. It’s such a great software compared to something like the razer software which in my opinion was horrible.

Final Thoughts:
Overall, this keyboard is amazing. If you can get it on sale than go for it but the retail price is a bit over the top. My only other complaint is sometime the membrane keys get a little to squishy sometimes to the point where they become hard to type on. But other than that I've got no problems with the keyboard. I think that Logitech are smack on the money with this keyboard. The G19s is the flagship keyboard in the G Series of keyboards. I’m looking forward to getting my hands on the lower end models to see if they are any good as well. Logitech have made an amazing keyboard by taking everything we know and love about the past G series and making much, much better. If you’re a gamer, who is looking for a new keyboard and have the $$$ to pay for it. This is awesome. If you want a Logitech keyboard with Cherry MX Switches then you might want to consider the G710+ which is Logitech’s only Mechanical Keyboard. But if you’re like me and prefer membrane keys, that this keyboard might just be for you.
