Next thursday, 9pm

the map is de_strike_rc3, it can be downloaded from here

Please take the time to familiarise yourself with the map before we do a little bit of training on it, it will make my job a lot easier.

Lineup will be...

Dav0s

XMS

[Ins]

Oxo

Tom

If they can all make it that is.

We will try and get a training session in before the match so be online at 8pm. Also if we are all online at some point during the next week, then we will have a run through then aswell.

We have every chance of winning our group, and getting quite far in this competition so lets try and put in all the effort we can. This team can be beaten if we take the time to create some basic tactics.

Right well unless I'm being a total retard, I can't download that file. I've registered with the site and tried to download, but it keeps asking me for a username and password to authenticate with the FTP server.

I've tried logging in using my account details and also using the default details and it doesn't wanna work, so can someone host the file on an OC3D server and paste the linky for insy? ;)

Cheers :yumyum:

Just had a go and it worked ok for me, th eonly way i got asked for a password was when i typed the ftp address in myself.

I t may be worth trying again in case they were working on it.

look in shared files matey

edit: deleted

Actually don't worry about hosting, I've managed to find it elsewhere.

Having looked over the map, it isn't the same as it was in CS 1.6 and it is very T biased.

I think we'll need an hour or so to go over it as I've got a few ideas already, but what I'd like to do is go over it with everyone and label some key areas (like we do on train - i.e. Pop-Dog) so that when we call, we know where it is.

What do u reckon?

Oh and btw, the 14th is Saturday. Should the topic say the 12th?

hey chris :)

yes i thought it was T biased at first, but having actually played with oxo 1v1 and trying to get into sites, its actually quite even, if not CT. Mid is T biased i think, but once you are in mid, you cant really go anywere anyway (at least not the formation im thinking of playing)

agreed on the place names, and i already have a basic CT structure to play, and im just trying to find a normal T tactic that we can work around.

Chris if you are around at all today, gimme a shout and we can try and work something out ready for training.

speaking of training, is everyone around 2nite?

I MAY be about tonight. If I am I'll giv ya a shout - we had a game against EWA on this last night and got a bit pwnd BTW...

I might be about later on tonight, say 9pm or so.

If Jim is online, get him to txt me if the rest of the team are going to be on and I'll make a point of trying to get online. If I don't hear anything though, I'll assume we're practicing another night.

:)

Firstly sorry for not getting online last night. I had to shoot over to the shops and buy some bits for my new house before the sales finished and I hadn't eaten by 9pm, so I had to stop off and grab an indian. Anyway, by the time I got home it was around 10:30pm :(

Onto Thursday, I can let you know now that I'm not going to be about :( It's blooming annoying, but basically I play Table Tennis in a local league and the season finished two weeks ago, but apparently we have a re-arranged game that wasn't played and the dude booked it for Thursday, put me in the team and only told me last night!! I can't get out of it so it's best I let you know now so that we can get a replacement.

However I am happy to go over the tactics with the team and put some input in if you want. It looks a good map but I think the potential to get stormed at either site is quite high and the defence will need to be well organised and communication good!
