Limit New User Threads ?

Can't we check the source of where these are coming from? if they are all created from same IP.. ban hammer.

I remember we had a user here who was the ultimate king of talking BS bragging about his fast cars and stealing pics of modded pcs claiming to be his own. He started creating new users to post in his threads to agree with himself.

If TTL was able to see these new users were the same person, why cant we have some logic to red flag multiple users created from the same address.

Getting around IP bans is trivial.

Really appreciate it. I am mostly active in morning/early afternoon so seeing the spam reduces my enjoyment. Plus I don't get to see AlienALX moan at the world... or hmm maybe thats a good thing

I really didnt enjoy seeing this place go down because of the spam and i'm glad this has been stopped now, it isnt the most ideal solution, but it is probably the best one without risk or costs with upgrading.

i know its a pain for the admins in the short term but its nice not to get greeted with spam first thing in the morning
