LG G3 (D855)
Introduction
Before the LG G3, LG phones was not a big name in the market of cellphones. There was the G Flex (first curved phone), and the optimus range but none really took off.
But now: LG G 3 flagship
When looking at buying a phone there are always an extremely wide range of choice and usually consumers are drawn by one or two distinctive difference. May it be Camera, screen size, User Interface, battery life , etc. The G3 got you covered with a 13 mp (megapixel) , 3000 mah (milliamps) battery life, LG's known user interface with loads of customization and much much more.
Are the LG G 3 for you?
Technical Specifications
Up close
It look beautiful and as you can see it is almost (if not) the smallest out of the competitions but what is really remarkable is that the LG G3 has the biggest screen size at 5.5" (2560x1440) UHD. This have to be the most beautiful screen up to date.
The package
It came in a nice box and small. Well packed accessories (in South Africa). I got earphones, wireless charger, smart g watch (FREE) with dock.
Key features
The LG G3 has a lot of key features some only available on the LG G3.
Let's start with the 5.5" bezel-free UHD screen at a 2560 by 1440 resolution with 538 dpi. One of the best display thus far.
The knock code. I love it. You can tap your code on the screen without having to open it or press any buttons. This makes it quick and easy and people would think what's is this guy doing there is nothing on the screen.
The only phone with laser-focus. This paired with the OIS (Opitcal Image Stabilization) makes for one of the best cameras i have seen and we did not even get to the 4K video recording. The 13 megapixel and dual camera really makes for a good camera. The only problem for me is the front camera which LG say "selfie" camera isn't really that great but the fist gesture makes up for it.
The 1 watt speaker should of been a key feature and maybe for the phone it is but compared to the HTC M8 i don't see how it could win the sound battle.
Conclusion
As I don't look at benchmarks when writing a review my conclusion is based on 3 months of usage. As a daily driver the size is one of your biggest problem but if you decide to go with either of the other (which are bigger), you have similar problems.
The price vary from service provider to service provider but considering that you get the wireless charger and the smart watch I would say it is a value for money
For presentation it would say Lg could of made it all in to one box because you get a different box for your watch, wireless charger and phone but the quality is fine.
Taking into account its cpu, ram, etc the LG G3 is really flawless and i didn't come across any lag what so every and I did run two apps in split screen, and 3 apps in QSlide.
The customization really make this device worth while because you can make it fit your daily activities
Performance: 9/10
Price: 8/10
Presentation: 7/10
