LG dvdram GSA-H62N Problems

okay well i purchased this dvd writer and when i put a dvd cd with Data already on there and i try to drag the file into the folder i want, it takes 1 hr to upload it??

the file itself is about 3 gig, does that sound right, draggin a file off the DVD to your folder on your computer, i use to think it would take 2 min at Max to drag anything off any cd/dvd wether it wuld be big or small

It shouldn't be taking that long at all. Maybe check in your BIOS to see what mode your DVD drive is running in. Might be set to PIO or something.

Do what XMS suggested. Can also check the mode in the device manager.

I can do a movie (dvd) in about 6 minutes. (That 4.7GB in 6 minutes)

iv just gone through device manager, cant figure out, where it would be under...

Okay i found it, in device manager, now the Problem being it wont let me change the current transfer mode

transfer mode - DMA If available

current transfer mode - Not applicable

if i can change current transfer mode, i guess it can transfer things to my folder much faster....iv come to One conclusion seeing it wont let me change the transfer mode, and that being that it hasnt even traced iv got a SATA dvd rom in the Computer even. any help would be great,thanks
