Levitating Monitor!

I thought I'd share my latest change :)

After getting my Dell 30"er a while back, I had a spare 24" monitor, but in it's normal landscape orienation and it's stand made it awkward to work with. So with a little magic, it now levitates in portrait mode:

I use it to monitor temperatures and usage, itunes, and the odd webpage in the rare occasion I run out of desktop space.

That's Rainmeter running on it, my a work-in-progress skin (cpu temps, gpu temps, hard drive space etc).

I have two 24" Dell monitors, one in landscape and one in portrait, but none of them are floating in the air xD

What you've done looks awesome =)

Cheers guys, the effect is just what I was looking for.

how about a back shot so we can see how ya did it

Certainly...

It's as simple as hiding the bracket for the 24" behind the other monitor. I was going to say I bolted it to the other monitor but you guys would rumble me..

So I have "surround" of sorts...

When the daylight is better I might take some more shots.

My plan is to place a 1080 radiator on the window sill behind the blinds in the picture above to improve and regulate the cooling.

I consider it the right way up ;)

It's a Silverstone FT02. The motherboard is rotated 90 degrees, the idea being that with positive air pressure (3x 180 AP fans at the bottom) and the fact that hot air rises, it's more efficient cooling. It is when you remember to clean the air filters!

The image above is with 2x 670 phantoms that I used to have. I sent them back because their cooler design didn't work with the case. I have 2x EVGA 670 4gb SC in there instead now. These expel the hot air much better.
