Lets go Ballistix

wow they're well stuck on then! i won't be removing the spreaders off my shiny new 8500's then!

(yet to actually install it all but 4gb of the stuff is going to rock i hope!)

When I seen this I was thinking to myself 'I canny remember posting this on here' :D

So confusing with the EP-UK threads on here now.

yeah me too, im waiting on a new mobo (asus maximus) gonna see how far they go then, my striker is stuck on 940mhz

Quality.

I`ve noticed with some heatspreaders that they stick up at the bottom when u get them, but with a little heat and a bit of pressing, all seems to work out well.

Outstanding pics btw.

600mhz @ 5-5-5-15 with 2.3V

man your voltages are way too high.

i can prime my Q66 g0 for 8hrs at 9x400=3.6 gig on 1.4v (set in bios) with no errors, i got bored after 8hrs.

na i dont think that i got that lucky.

the Q66 G0 is kinda nearly sure to hit 3.6 gig with below 1.5v on a decent mobo.

the key is getting over the 3.6 optimal clocks with as as low a voltage as you can.

im getting into 1.65v when im heading for 4gig+.

i dont really think that that is a good chip as i have seen good G0s doing 4.3 on 1.55v.

ps. volts in bios.

Id be tempted to say that Q6600s doing those MHz at that voltage were either suicide CPU-Z shots, had an aircon unit over the delta-fan-cooled heatsink for a SPi 1M or were sub-zero....

I had to comment on the quality of the pix in the first post... excellent close ups!

The RAM's nice too, I'm looking at those for my build in May.
