Well apparently Steam are giving away Left 4 Dead 2.

When I click it though it's saying 50% off but worth giving it a shot see if you get it for free.

Yeah not sure if you keep it after the whole Xmas period or if it's time limited.

Either way if people want to try before they buy they might as well grab it.

Yeah I been trying for about an hour. I managed to get to the L4D2 page in Steam, but when I click install there's a long delay then eventually the 101 error.

Yep Steam and valve servers are really broken due to high traffic from people downloading L4D2 aaaand new games for new pcs.

But it only stays if you install it - if you just claim it and let it sit it's gone.

took abit of pushing the back button but got it installing, I see they turned the voting off aswell

Can't play Dota2, even the banners show errors.
I hate when companies do this, Hey lets give out some free stuff but we don't need to increase our bandwidth/servers because noone wants free stuff, right?
EDIT: steam network down :lol:, never seen steam in this state...
