NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO000000000000000000000000000000000ooooooooooooooooooooooooooo............................!

It was probably one of the best British things ever. And now it's gone...

What a moaning lot we Brit are at times, no doubt fuelled by crap from the tabloid press.

Why would any company change the recipie or for that matter the suppliers of said components of one of the worlds most famous brands who no doubt they buy at such a competitive cost price that alternative, inferior ingeredient suppliers couldn't possibly match.

There are also a good number of British companies buying other successful companies else where in the world, should we not do that?

Seems like a viable comercial deal to me.

Wish I had a few shares.

People dying on a mass scale, war, famine, earthquakes etc etc

headline news- Cadburys change owners!

Yeah, so sad to see it go.

Whilst no one wants to see people out of work. Business is business, it's no solely owned by one person, it's owned by shareholders and it's them that have accepted an 850p share deal.

Cadbury have a £7 billion debt which Kraft have had to take on as part of the buyout.

Seems that before the takeover the company has had serious problems, probably mismanaged by British shareholders perhaps?

There will be job losses, takeover or not!

Wouldn't mind being the lawyers handling the deal as they have had a bumper payout!

I live in teesside and the steel industry collapse has made a lot of close personal friends redundant, it's a crying shame that British companies can't compete, manage successfully and thrive in today's age. ( I know the steel company is no longer British )
