My new beauty.

Getting me a Filco tenkeyless Ninja with browns since my SteelSeries 6GV2 is knackered and MX Blacks are rubbish.

Yeah Blacks aren't my thing either, I have browns on this board and i have to say i love them so much. I haven't tried blues yet so i may pick up a cheap blue board to see what they are like.

Also fine choice with the filco, Solid board. What made you decide on a TKL?

The click is annoying when gaming

I've always loved TKL for the size, they are fine for everything I need and fit anywhere. I thought my Steel Series keyboard was nice until its started falling apart, I'm an advocate of not buying gaming orientated peripherals, but I didn't listen to myself. Can't wait to get the Filco though. Reds and blacks are poo IMO, espcially if you play fast games or play your FPS's fast like I do, running around etc. The browns are great and the blues are way too loud/ clicky.

Nothing wrong with reds.

The blue board would be my pure typing board, I want to get a KBC poker to take to class with me so i don't have to endure the horror that is the microsoft ergonomic keyboards...

I can use linear switches very easily but it is all personal preference, If I were to buy a linear switch i'd go for Red with an Oring mod so they dont bottom out and a stiff rubber so it stops the key right at the activation point. Also if you are coming from a 6G you will notice the quality difference this thing is like a brick and a fine candidate for a zombie apocalypse club!

I think that taking a MX Blue keyboard into class would drive everyone insane

£9 Microsoft wired keyboard 600 here, nice to use, and takes a beating, and spilt lots of coke and a bit of beer into it and 2years later it still works sweet

Here's the keyboard I have atm:

Razer Pro Series

Have had it for 2years now, was looking at the filco keyboards a while ago tho.

Noticed there are loads of new gaming keyboards with cherry mech switches now tho, seem to be getting more affordable.

A guy who I used to play css with did a cool video on the HHKB in 2010 - [media]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yS0GCUhbDNI[/media]

This is my keyboard, the Roccat ISKU

It's not mechanical but still awesome for gaming and normal use. Keys are not too hard and not too soft, just right

Filco Majestouch 2 with browns here.

[sub]I love mine, I mean really love. Expensive but well worth it, if not just for the understated look (which the 6gv2 has but without the longevity I think we're agreed).[/sub]

[sub]I do get the springy ping sound when I listen closely but I cant hear it over my case fans in my sound dampened fractal case. I think its the steel plate the keys are mounted to.[/sub]
