Hi,

I just noticed that my keyboard (ms sidewinder x6) doesn't work anymore after putting my system in sleep mode for a while.

i've tried reinstalling the drivers but that doesn't help, any idea's ?

If the drivers come with a control panel try looking for any checkboxes/ dropdowns in there

doesn't come with anything special, just a vbersion of the normal keyboard config with macro's added :s

it's really anoying cuz i have to reboot alot.. but my ms mouse does work

Can't help you, sorry. Maybe send it back, get a refund then buy a different keyboard?

no option i'm afraid, it's a bit to old for that

There's a few midrange keyboards around that might be worth checking out before you take peripherals off the list but if you can avoid using sleep mode then raid would be more worth the money IMO

well i've been thinking about raid for a while now, and 4 500gb F3's are only 160 while a 120gb ssd is about 200 and performance will be equal i think

Lol I have contemplated the same thing. Is next in my upgrade path but I'm long overdue some gaming on a rig I've been building and tweaking for about a year now

i find myself in the same position, always buying stuff to be able to play games better, but it keeps you so busy you can't play...

Power Options, Change Plan settings, Advanced Power Settings, USB settings, USB Selective Suspend Setting, maybe check that?

There could easily be USB settings in the BIOS, but if its a recent thing then its probably something to with Windows.

I get the same issues with USB devices and the headphone socket on my laptop sometimes.

just did that, thanks a lot

That's why I think all games should switch to micro transaction based. More business becuase system builders like you and me would play them

true, but in the end, companies have to make money, and most people don't play games very long before moving on, so it would be bad for them. we should just stay up longer lol

yes it is, however, now my wifi card does the same thing, however, i can connect to my network but not the internet :s

tried looking in that menu where i fixed the keyboard but its all on never off

Device manager, Network Adapters, (In my case an Atheros adapter, depends on your set up), Properties, Power management, uncheck the 'allow the computer to turn off this device to save power' option?

Also in the 'advanced' tab in properties, there may be some other power save features that also could cause the issue.

Funnily enough, I used to have the same issue with my Wi-Fi adapter on my laptop
