Kali 2 - A rebirth

I got my barebone from pwnpcs.co.uk, CPU and wireless from ebay, msata from ebuyer (I think), ram from overclockers.

A 1024M run in throttlestop.

A tiny bit of thermal throttle at the end, but it should be good for gaming ^_^

(Upgrades include selling original)

Barebone (3610QM + 7970M): £1000
CPU upgrade: £50
GPU upgrade: £150
Sound card: £50
Speakers: £30
Mouse: £50
Wireless: £10
SSD: £160
Ram: £40
Bluray: £30

£1570 ish....

Comparable to 17" machines and able to stand toe to toe with the GT60 (which is ludicrously expensive in the UK).

Haha lol, yes but you have to find one with the right voltage and plug.....

It is also a large adaptor for a notebook. Made by delta electronics too so it will be very well built.

Fair enough, it is in $, so it would be around £80. Still a little high for my liking, but if it's the only option, there's nothing you can do I suppose :)

As others have said, Really? Spending that Much on a Power Brick?

The alternative being? I suppose I could lower my graphics or CPU overclock but then what's the point of this project i I only go half way?

People spend more on heatsinks, let alone PSUs, so I fail to grasp why the real shock?

Haha - most hate I've seen for buying a power cable :)

I agree - It's a powerful system - I take it you have the money, go with whatever you think :)

It's not like you've cut any corners in building this - so yeh, why not follow it through with every part.

Keep up the good work
