Ok so here i am posting this because i love shadow play. i had been using amd for years "since nvidia removed over scan from the drivers when the 8800 came out"

I had been using fraps and hypercam (i still use hypercam a bit)
Any way i started using shadow play recently because i have a 780 now and its great. fraps would kill my fps and force me to adjust settings to get a playable frame rate whilst recording. shadow play does not.. also i just recorded a run through of fall out new Vegas over the past week or 3 (turned out to be like 30 hours long so i deleted it lol) any way the whole lot at 1080p maxed out quality was only 270gb which is less than 10gb an hour.. and the visual quality was near perfect..
Fraps would have had me at 20gb in about 15 mins to get the same visual quality..

So praise be shadow play..

I know this is a bit of a pointless thread but its really impressed me.

The big question is when is AMD going to jump on board this one and get it right?

Lonesome AMD user here, OBS eats my frames like the Cookie Monster.

Shadow play is easy to use and by game recording program standards, pretty smart too. I hate how you have to download bloatware in order to use it however. Quality is also not amazing.

Its by far the best free piece of recording software. DXTory and to some degree, playclaw are better bits of recording software however.

All the R9 2xx and later cards support screen recording via hardware, download the AMD Raptr software. No discernable performance hit even when recording 1080p footage.
