Hiya guys

I've just got my prommy mach II GT (thanks to barkerd for selling it to me)

Anyway i've managed to get it up and running!! Using it to cool my 3400+ clawhammer. The mobo im using is a DFI NF3 UT Lanboy and i've installed the hardware monitor to see what my CPU temps are. It gives me 222°C so guessing i'll need a patch or some other kind of monitor. Anyone know of any to use??

In the bios though it says my temps on the CPU were -29°C on the Mach II it says its -63°C so am i getting good temps?? Just wondering if i have got good contact on the cpu.

Also bit of a bugger here.... the hose which goes to the cooler is sticking out just abit too much to close my lian li side pannel...Anyone know what i can do??

Also the USB wire from the Mach...I've looked at the wires and checked them with the mach II manual and the mobo manual and it appears the wires are all mixed up wrong. Should i just pull them out and swap them around or do i just plug it in and see if it works??

Sorry for all the newbi questions guys...Anyone on here with the same mobo/CPU as me would like to see how far you've managed to go!!

Hope to hear from some of you

Greg

Normally I use "Motherboard Monitor 5" aka MBM5 which displays negative temps ok, many sensors and software monitors can't make sense of negative temps so display crap like you see.

The other questions will need to be answered by the AMD experts here ... welcome to the forum fella:D

Just installed MMM5 to see if i can get some true temps but even this gives me odd results say its -1°C. It did mention something about an IO problem with XP anyone know what to do to sort this out??

Temps

  • sensor 1 - ITE8712F-1 Diode (you also need to make sure you take 10c off for compensation as the DFI reads 10c to high

    )
  • sensor 2 - ITE8712F-2
  • sensor 3 - ITE8712F-3

    Voltages
  • Sensor 1 - ITE8712F Standard 4
  • Sensor 2 - ITE8712F Standard 4 (this is actually voltage for NB)
  • +3.30v - ITE8712F Standard 4
  • +5.00v - ITE8712F Standard 4
  • +12.0v - ITE8712F Standard 4
  • -12.0v - ITE8712F Standard 4
  • -5.0v - ITE8712F Standard 4

    fans

No idea i am afraid cos I don't have any fans monitored!

    CPU

Set that how you want it set it up

Thats the settings you want :) had the same problem when I set mine up and had a play and this is what I got :)

Thanks for that mate, although i found that the ITE8712F-1 Diode wont work it just selects none when i select that. In fact all the diode ones do that.

Sensor 2 which is the cpu socket if i select ITE8712F-2. That gives me more of a case temp if i select ITE8712F-1 that gives me a temp of -33°C which looks to be more like my CPU temp!!

Haven't tried the others yet. Any idea why mine would be different to yours??

Also my head temp has gone down to -48°C instead of the normal -61°C any idea why?? I'm not overclcoking yet everything is stock still. Is this just becuase i've had it running for a bit??

Cheers

Greg

Ok thats good then.

What about the probes though?? Why would mine be different to yours??

But like i said in the earlier post they are definatly what i said unless my case temp is -33°C which i find hard to believe. lol

Also recently when i use MBM5 it shuts my pc down. Is there a low temp setting which is being triggered or something??

Hope you can help

Greg

Someone on another thread just said that the reason the Head temps are dropping after time is due to moisture in the system. Is that true??? It stays at -66c for a while then rises to -48 and stays there. This is when i'm just surfing the net etc. I'm still running at stock.

Also any ideas about the MBM5 probe questions??

Also was thinking of changing the wires on the usb so they match the order in the manual, any reason why i shouldn't??

Cheers

Greg
