Now ive been after a laser printer for a while and today ive just bought a HP Laserject CP1515n.
Its a nice little (not that small) laster printer that is quite good for small office set ups. There are a few slight problems though.
1) its not realy windows 7 comptable
2) You have to use Windows 7 Printer driver
There are how ever some realy good sides
1) Its cheaper than a decent Inject
2) Its a laser printer
3) Its
a net work printer
4) you can get arround the drivers if you know what your doing
It was supposed to be £195 but this is were we get the price down. First off HP offer a £50 cash back through there web site. So that knocks it down to £145 then we got a 10% discount at staples wich was £19.50 nocking the price of the printer down to £125.50 then i calim back the VAT at £29.15 = total payable £96.50 .... Whoot....
So over all a brand new colour laser jet printer with network comptabilty was £96.50 .. I have not come across a descent Ink jet that can produce the same as a laser yet so im very happy.
Now the down side is the carts only can do 700 (or 1400 1/2 prints) prints but tbh thats not a problem becuase i can get them refilled for £15.00 each and they will then do 4500 Prints each. I can do this as long as i like and save money.
How ever if you go for the HP carts they are £95.00 RRP each and when you have 4x to replace that can be expensive but if you shop arround like me, i have found them for £35.99 each again a massive saving on total over ownership and running costs.
Ive been running test prints off and there are a couple of flaws but to be honist there very tiny such as it takes me 17.5 seconds to run off a 600 x 600 DPI Print in full colour but considering the qualty over a ink jet im very happy.
So over all not a bad printer. Perfect for small office or home and cost of ownership is just a pure bargin ....
the cheapest i can find it using OC3D web shop serch is £189.95 .. some times it cheaper to get off your ass and hit the shops
