Excerlent! :D

Nice to have ya here tom. Any troubles and gimme a shout, I mod the hwbot team.

Well you can change the name for a start, was having buscuits so wasnt concentrating!

Ill do as much as I can in my spare time! When I have any!

Just thought i'd join you folks too :D

will stop dragging my heels and get some volts shoved through my kit, no point having all this fancy cooling if its not getting put to use.

Now thats the spirit :D

Righto, I've finished the coursework I've been doing most of the day, lets see if I can get us another point and claim back some vantage points on my 9600GSO.

:ar:Sparrowhawk, immah taking my place back :)

and c'mon brooksie, you have nil points

A quick guide would be nice chaps if possible.

Ive got 3Dmark 05 and 06 what else do i need to get.

Just done a quick run on 05 and this is the online result 19729 thats the cpu at stock and slightly Oc'd the card.

will try 3Dmark 06 next and post up.

How do i register points with the team, that if i score any that is??

Go to hwbot, make an account, link it with the team. Then hit submit score and it should be fairly straight forward: it'll tell you what you need: you'll definitely need a screenshot with the required progs open (CPU-Z, GPU-Z, bench prog with score)

OC the CPU a bit if you're going for the points... the E8400 @ 4GHz or above will boost the score by quite a bit, I know the small jump from 3.4 -> 3.8 when benching a while back made a difference.

Anyway, I'm going to find some ram and a driver that'll talk to rivatuner and will be back with results ;)

haha, I havn't benched for a while, been too busy to fundle around with it all. My quad is even still at stock atm (I feel ashamed to say that :( )

In my experience, every bench and attempt is worth logging on such a site.

A few reasons really. For one, it's an online record of stuff u done, and wholey doesn't require ur result to be in the top 10 to be worth anything (top 100 is often credited), and ofc there are categories for different makes/brands or variations of rigs.

If ur a point wh0re, benching any piece of kit, even old stuff, is a definite winner. Rare stuff is awesome.

With a record up there and online, it's also something to reflect back to and a place to linky to examples of how ur kit can be pushed.

Almost every kind of hardware is worth the bench.

Besides, Ham does get lonely right up there at the top :p

so can i join?

i always love to try and get the highest clocks and speeds out of hardware, i've had great amount of luck with my old q6600 getting it past 4ghz on low volts surpasing its extreme CPU brothers in 3dmarks, my Phenom II 550 should be here when tom sends my watercooling gear off so i can try get that clocked through the roof?

Hmm I've slipped.

/breaks out SS.

But yeah, anyone who's got some point worthy scores sign up and post them. You can bench anything pretty much, there's even the likes of the 100mhz P1 listed on there. spi 32m in 14 hours anyone? :p
