I've read nothing regarding advanced students and there p.c's

Unless I've been looking on the wrong place on this site I really think a student section for Uni/College etc... Would be really inspiring! For example, I know I had a decent computer but I still didn't know how to push it, but a few good words of advice would go a long way, I'm still a student now learning RAID 5 rather than a faster but easily destructive RAID 0.
I do mean just for students also to field there concerns and random things, if there's no real receptive people interested in it, delete it, I just think it's something different.

Students don't know where to go or how to setup a top notch rig or one they can afford, I'm not going to comment on Windows 8 but besides that you in particular with others, i've said to check out on YouTube.
Maybe a bit silly but think of it as an accumulative area for I.T. students or those needing to get a good computer, there's nobody on the net who supplies more info.
So a good stepping stone all-in-one.

What it sounds like you're saying is that you want a completely separate section exclusively for students that discusses EXACTLY the same things we discuss in the regular forum... Just have a look around mate and I'm sure you'll find all the advice you're after, we're generally a helpful bunch. If not then post a new thread in the relevant section.... "Simples!"

As above, if someone needs advice then they can just ask in the relevant section, having separate sections for different people would just clutter up the forum IMO, and tbh I would have thought the younger guys who have grown up with this kind of tech would possibley know most

Not too sure where you're going with saying you'll pass on his input... but okay. As everyone else has suggested, if there is someone wanting to gain input on decisions or answers to questions, they would ask in the corresponding question. Having a student section would have a limited audience (for people wanting specific answers), which isn't necessesarily good when wanting feedback. I understand where you're coming from, but the forum in general is already categorized specifically, to a degree.

The purpose of a forum isn't to spoon feed. Would be pretty lame if we all had the exact same looking PC... At that point buy a console.
