C'mon with the benchies,Animal.I just secured my 512 xt too,am collecting it sunday in person,bet i'm gonna need a new tec block though.As usual i'll be doing my best to push intel/ati as hard as i can.What cpu will you run with it ?

As soon as i installed it i had to go out and then have sum dinner. im now sat down redy to do some benching but tbh they wont be that great as ive not benched in agesand i cant be botherd to do a clean install for it so im just gonna tweak wat i have andsee wat i can get with stock clocks on gpu and cpu..

It's the same size as a 256 7800GTX.

Actually it looks slightly longer. Maybe that was jut the 256 X1800 that was that size.

Was referring to the length not the height - I think it's longer and therefore in some casesit may be a bit of a squeeze.

it has basicly maxed the clocks out to wat its allowed to do. looks like these cards are gonne be great clockers with sufficient cooling

Impressive clocks on air mate, temps look a bit high but like you said with the right cooling (cue GoLLuM) - benchies?

I think I made a mistake when I looked at your image - can you tell me what clocks you achieved?

I have not had an ATI card for ages and calayst has changed a lot since then?

yup thats hte Catalyst control center - u can still get the control panel but its just a stripped down version anyway...nice card btw animal, im saving for one but by the time ive got the dosh ill be buyin a r600 nice overclock as well with overdrive, nice temps as well. And regarding it running hot, my dads 9800xt has hit 102c before, still live and kicking after two years as well

Well on an unclean XP install with a stock opty 146 it gets around 8500, with an opty at 2.8 it gets around 9500-9600 so with a clean install and some tweaking id say 10k should be easy...

Best I scored was 10500 with FX55 @ 3.5Ghz or X2 4800 @ 3.14Ghz - but that was before I managed to get more bandwidth from the GPU RAM.

That XT aint performing too bad at all is it - nice one.

Give it an 01 and 03 run as see what you score.

In 03 remember to hit delete when the CPU tests start (after nature) it cancels the rest of the test but will still give you a score (pro version on the cheap doing it that way).
