It it worth the wait till DDR4

Yo, as a gamer will it be worth the wait for ddr4 ram? or even waiting for the new motherboars and cpus to come out aka x79 and x99?

or should i just buy now and get z87 chipset with ddr3 and a haswell cpu?

If you have the money and need, Buy! Waiting is an endless game as you see new things always coming out. I always ask myself those two questions before buying new gear.

Or, wait till the new comes out and you will be able to pick up z87 chipset boards cheaper as well as cpu more than likely.

No, not really. Even when it's going to released I doubt any game engine will take advantage of that for a while.
For now it's a game of GPU's, instead of CPU/RAM.
